Community Hygiene Concern – Celebrating 30 years of Bug Busting!

Head Lice Beware!

Are you fed up with using neuro-toxic pesticides on your children’s heads every time they come home with lice?  This itchy problem is getting worse as insects are becoming resistant to many of the chemicals we use.

Bug Busting has never been easier. It’s a fraction of the cost of the chemical treatments and with less risk to health and the environment

What is Bug Busting?

Bug Busting is a head louse detection and eradication method.  It works by combining specially designed bevel-edged combs with your own shampoo and conditioner. You no longer need to rely on expensive products containing potentially harmful chemicals. And, don’t forget many of them do not live up to their claims!

It’s Safe!

The Bug Busting Kit is safe for babies, children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and those with asthma, eczema or other allergies.

Fraction of the cost

One re-usable kit treats the whole family and costs just £8.99 including p&p or available free on NHS prescription for those children with head lice.

Stop Head Lice in their Tracks

No treatment acts as a ‘vaccine’ against head lice – public education is the most effective insecticide!

Wet Comb – wet lice stay still, whereas dry or damp lice move quickly away from disturbance, thus evading detection

Choose the Right Comb – the choice of comb is crucial to success -metal combs are not recommended due to their round tips, which can skim over and miss young lice at scalp level

Break the Life Cycle – Bug Busting wet combing removes lice systematically, breaking the life-cycle in four sessions spaced over two weeks
