Willen Hospice is calling on local women to sign up for this year’s MK Midnight Moo which takes place on 13th July.
In addition to the popular 10 mile walk, Willen Hospice has introduced a brand new Half-Moo. The new route is just over half the distance, 6.3 miles, but promises to be just as much fun.
This iconic event raised more than £120,000 last year with walkers starting and finishing at intu Milton Keynes. Whatever your walking skill, from beginner to experienced you can join the fun. Walk on your own and meet fellow walkers or even in pairs or as a team.
Willen Hospice Chief Executive Peta Wilkinson said: “I was thrilled to be part of last year’s MK Midnight Moo walking alongside 1000 other women, all raising money to support our care. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year and we’re so excited to be launching it for 2019.”
The registration fee of only £20 covers the cost of the event – the fundraising is key to the Moo’s success. This year’s theme is disco and the organisers can’t wait to see how walkers will embrace it. There should be some interesting disco attire! Once again, Specsavers Milton Keynes are supporting the Midnight Moo.
Willen Hospice needs to raise £4.7 million every year, that’s £9 a minute, to continue to provide care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. The MK Midnight Moo is a key event that helps the Hospice to reach that goal. Can you help?
