Watch out for the new Deanshanger Divas Under 11s when they make their debut in this season’s Girls Bucks football League. Formed this March, the girls have been training every week under the watchful eye of managers Jenni Rees and Kennedy Lewis. Their first game resulted in a victorious win. Club Chairman Richard Johnson said, “We were able to set up the squad with the help of Northants FA, who put a coach into the primary school for ten weeks before we took
over and offered the girls regular football. They are a great bunch and already displaying some good skills.”
The older Diva girls now assist with coaching and refereeing as part of their Duke of Edinburgh awards. The Club is also celebrating success, as the Under 16s and 15s Colts sides both won their divisions in the MK Border Counties League last season. Club coaches now offer after school football sessions at Elizabeth Woodville School on Thursday afternoons and have also held two FA Soccer Schools during the holidays.
Players are needed for under 11 girls and under 12 and 13 boys. Contact Johnson.email@example.com
