Romance is in the air at Magdalen House, Stony Stratford

Congratulations to Pat Eales and Carl Done who Magdalen House, Stony Stratfordwere happily married on Tuesday, 2 May at Bletchley Registry Office. This sociable pair met in January 2016 and became firm friends before the friendship blossomed into something a little more romantic.

Local woman Pat, who is now 76 has lived at Magdalen since August 2012. She has always been an active member of the local community and church. Carl, a Staffordshire man, hasn’t taken long to settle into his new home since moving in eighteen months ago. His bubbly personality and chatty manner brought lots of new friendships, particularly with Pat. The pair became inseparable after Carl sealed this friendship with a kiss! Initial shock soon became the new lease of life both for both, as neither thought they would marry again.

Manager, Maggie Brett explained that it was very exciting news. However, she wasn’t really surprised about Carl’s proposal to Pat as she had spotted them holding hands once or twice! Family and friends are equally pleased and as Maggie says, “There is never a dull moment with Carl, he has Pat constantly laughing along with the rest of us!”

This is the first wedding at Magdalen so I am sure you will join me in wishing Pat and Carl extra special congratulations. We are now looking forward to seeing this lovely pair’s honeymoon photos from their break in Lowestoft.
