Simple Steps to Stay Healthy this Winter

If you are anything like me, the cold and flu season makes me grumpy and no good for anything. Over the years I have looked at all sorts of ways of keeping about the bugs.

These simple steps may help you to stay healthy this winter. No matter how mild your cough, cold and flu they make you feel and look dreadful but there ways to try and prevent them taking hold.

1. Boost your immune system

Avoid stress – take time out to relax.

Sleep – at least 8 hours a night repairs cells and builds your immune system.

Eat well – lots of fruit and vegetables.

Exercise – regular moderate activity strengthens your heart and immunity.

2. Prevent germs taking hold

Wash your hands – before a meal, after using the bathroom, after sneezing, coughing blowing nose.

Clean – desks, phones, computers, pens etc.

Hands away – from food, your nose and mouth.
