Stony Live is celebrating its 20th birthday with another spectacular year of music,arts, walks, talks, poetry, storytelling, dance, comedy, family events, fairs, more music and agriculture.
Local pubs, clubs, churches, community centres, restaurants, the library, open spaces and the streets of Stony, Fullers Slade and Galley Hill are all embracing this nine- day festival.
Family and children
2 June – The town barn dance has been part of StonyLive from the start and continues to be popular with everyone. The ‘Day of Dance’ offers a colourful mixture of traditional and contemporary dancing – Morris and Clog, belly dancing and children’s groups.
3 June – Enjoy a family picnic and entertainment at The Big Lunch.
9 June – The Riverside Fair offers another picnic opportunity with entertainment, as well as the Junior Bard of Stony competition.
Poetry and spoken word
You’ll find the Bard performing at various venues over the days.
The Stony Stratford & Carabosse theatre groups combine for several performances, this year focussing on new writers.
The Stony Allotments Society is opening the gates to show you around,with a chance to buy fresh produce.
If you don’t like folk, jazz, pop, rock, blues, classical, show-songs, then there may be nothing for you. On the other hand …
