Wolverton’s MK50 Summer Festival will celebrate Milton Keynes’ 50th year at its brand new Summer Festival. Wolverton’s Western Road Recreation Ground will be transformed on Sunday, 25th June. Live acts will perform on three stages from 2.00pm-8.00pm. In addition entrance is completely free.
The event has been created to celebrate 50 years of Milton Keynes and bring the local community together. This day of celebration will bring you live music and performance from acts selected from the local area. You’ll see amazing The Voice Kids superstar Brooke Layla and swingin’ sixties Beatles tribute act – The Ultimate Beatles. The festivities will begin at 2.00pm with an interactive drumming performance from popular band – Inta Africa.
Street performers use Wolverton’s iconic band stand to entertain you, at this community stage and hub. You will find it next to the Square and the Triangle stages.
There’s fun for all the family with John Scarrot and Sons Fun Fair as well as inflatable games from RS Events. MK50 crafts will be taking place in the craft tent supported by local charity – Harry’s Rainbow. Local food vendors and stall holders will keep refreshed throughout the day although you are welcome to bring your own picnic.
Hoping you enjoy the summer sunshine on Sunday, 25th June. Like @WolvertonSummerFestival on Facebook to find out more.
